What is CRPS Pain?

CRPS pain may feel as burning pain, ant crawling sensation, electric or pins and needles like pain. It may involve: extremities, move to different limb, cause skin color changes along skin swelling, and change in skin temperature. The skin may also be so sensitive that even a light touch is perceived as painful sensation – Allodynia.  Usually, CRPS pain develops after a trauma, such as sprain, fracture, medical procedure/surgery, burn injury.

What are my treatment options?

If you have failed conservative therapies, such as anti-inflammatories, physical therapy (desensitization), cold-packs, heat pack and home exercise programs, then you may be an excellent candidate for the minimal invasive pain management treatments.  This may include:

  1. Cervical nerve root steroid injections (treating neck/arm related pain)
  2. Lumbar nerve root steroid injections (treating low back/leg pain related pain)
  3. Sympathetic blocks
  4. Spinal Cord Stimulation therapy
